If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment information is collected and processed by Stripe, our third-party payment processor. We do not store credit card numbers on our servers.

When you visit the Site, we may automatically collect certain information about your device and usage, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, time spent on pages, and other standard web analytics data. We use this information to improve the Site and understand how visitors use our platform.

These include essential cookies required for the Site to function, analytics cookies that help us understand how visitors use the Site (via Vercel Analytics), and advertising cookies used by Google AdSense to display relevant advertisements. Data sources

CareNav displays information from multiple sources. Federal data including star ratings, inspection results, staffing data, and quality measures is sourced from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and is public information. Family reviews are sourced from Google Places and are publicly available. AI-generated summaries are produced by CareNav's systems based on publicly available review data. Facility-submitted content is provided by facility administrators who have claimed and verified their listing.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services that may collect information as described in their own privacy policies:

Stripe processes payments for facility subscriptions. Google AdSense displays advertisements on the Site. Google Maps/Places provides map displays and review data. Vercel hosts the Site and provides analytics. Supabase provides database and authentication services.

Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services and fulfill the purposes described in this policy. Facility claim information is retained for the duration of the facility's listing on CareNav. Subscription and billing records are retained as required by applicable tax and financial regulations. You may request deletion of your personal information by contacting us at support@carenav.io.

Data security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, or delete your data, the right to opt out of certain data processing, and the right to withdraw consent.
