We believe every family deserves access to clear, unbiased information about nursing home quality. That's why we combine official CMS star ratings with real family reviews and AI-powered analysis — giving you the complete picture, not just a marketing-friendly snapshot.
CareNav is and always will be 100% free for families. We are funded by nursing home operators who pay for enhanced visibility on the platform, but this never affects the ratings, reviews, or AI insights you see. Every data point is labeled with its source so you know exactly where the information comes from.

How our data works
Federal CMS Data
All star ratings, inspection results, staffing data, and quality measures come directly from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Updated weekly via automated sync. CareNav does not modify or editorialize this data.
Google Reviews
Family reviews are sourced from Google and cached regularly. CareNav does not filter, edit, or selectively display reviews. You see what real families have shared publicly.
AI-Powered Insights
CareNav uses AI to analyze review text and generate balanced summaries highlighting both strengths and areas for improvement. Always labeled as AI-generated with the number of source reviews.
